The Lavrion Technoloigcal Cultural Park is ideal for housing conferences, exhibitions, cultural events and seminars. The rich history of the area, the wealth of its monuments and its great industrial tradition are key attractions for visitors. At the same time, proximity to the centre of Athens and easy access to Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” enhance its suitability for conferences and other events.
The recently renovated facilities of the LTCP include approximately 1280 s.m. of space that can house conferences, seminars, exhibitions, shootings of films and commercials, as well as other professional or social events. Open all year round, the facilities include a restaurant and a cafeteria, offer state-of-the-art technological infrastructure and can fully support high-quality events. The LTCP also has an open air theatre of 700 - 1200 seats, extensive gardens which are ideal for holding events as well as parking space.
On the area of the LTCP several films have been shot. For example, in the LTCP area the turkish market appeared in the film «Politiki kouzina» by Tassos Boulmetis has been set, as well as scenes from the film «Vlemma tou Odyssea» by Theodoros Angelopoulos. Also in the LTCP the scenes of the eastern bazaar for the TV series «witches of Smyrna» by Costas Koutsomytis and «Giougkerman» have been shot.
Furthermore in LTCP buildings, the Center for Environmental Education in Lavrion and the Crafts-Industrial Educational Museum are housed and operated, with a significant contribution to public awareness and particularly to students towards environmental issues and the industrial history of the region
