Laboratory in the frame of the MED program KnowinG

The Technological and Cultural Park of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), the Business Innovation Center of Attika and the Attica Prefecture in cooperation with the Multimedia Laboratory of NTUA, successfully organized a creative laboratory in the frame of the MED program KnowinG from the 27th of June to the 1st of July 2011 under the title:

“Serious Games Development Insights, Implentation”

The use of digital games in education and business games are initiatives that belong to the the wider field of Serious Games. The purpose of the laboratory was to give the opportunity to young scientists and creators to be informed about issues related to this particular sector through brief and dynamic lectures of experts who presented their special field. The topics covered in the laboratory included, among others, the design and development of Serious Games, Augmented Communications, Artificial Intelligence and Game Based Learning.

 


 

Musical Event "1st School Chorus & Orchestras Concert"

 In the 27th September of 2003 the musical event "1st School Chorus and Orchestras Concert" was held in the "Machinery Hall". The event was organised in the frame of th European Program “Lifelong Learning Program” – LLP - Project Technology Parks for Innovation and Trans-European Cooperation“ (TPI-TEC). The iniciative intented to introduce to the Technological Parks the organisation of cultural events and activities. Similar events aim to the attraction of a wider and of different social category public to whom the role, thw purpose and the caracter of the Technological Park can be communicated.

11th Mediterranean Film Festival

The 11th Mediterranean Film Festival which will be held for 3rd consecutive year in LTCP from 6 - 9 September 2008 is dedicated in the memory of the Egyptian film-maker Youssef Chahine.

NTUA's 170 years

The Lavrion Technological and Cultural Park participates in the events for the celebration of the 170 years of the National technical University of Athens. A special ceremonial even "NTUA and the Lavrion area" is organised in the Mihanourgeio Hall on December 7th 2007.

 

 

 

 

 

11th ACUUS International Conference

The 11th  ACUUS Conference "Underground Space: Expanding the Frontiers" was held in LTCP from 11-13 September 2007. The conference was organised by the Lab. of Mining and Environmental Technology of the NTUA. It is unanimously believed that the 11th ACUUS Conference was one of the most successful events in the history of the organization, having 220 registered participants from 18 countries around the world, more than 400 attendants and 90 scientific papers. This, altogether with the quality of the papers, the spectrum of ideas and multidisciplinary approaches gave ACUUS a new momentum that can help a lot in our common goal, the promotion of underground space development worldwide.
